Every once in awhile I get to “nesting.” Most often when that happens, I end up cleaning my house from top to bottom. Occasionally I turn that clean-up-everything energy to my computer and clean out old email, files, clippings, and bookmarks. As it happens, I was hit with a wave of nesting energy today and spent some time going through all the blog entries I’ve clipped and sites I’ve SpUrled recently. As I was looking things over, it occurred to me that most of the things I’ve been saving have to do with some cool thing I’ve run across or new ideas I’ve had for the library, and I just couldn’t bring myself to get rid of this stuff because, you know, it’s all good.
So, I decided to start a blog where I can write about these new ideas — get my thoughts written down so I can come back to them at some point in the future and maybe do something about them. I thought this blog would be a great place to exchange ideas with colleagues in the library world too. In fact, anyone out there who would like to contribute to this blog, just shoot me an email (puttaro@libraryweb.org) or IM (patriciau524) and ask me to add you as a user.
