Living Library Project

I’m so jealous I didn’t think of this first!

I totally want to try this with…

  • Mayor Duffy and/or Maggie Brooks
  • a Fire Fighter
  • a Police Officer
  • a School Teacher or Principal
  • an Auto Mechanic
  • a Master Gardener
  • a Jew, Christian, Muslim, Pagan, and/or any other person of faith

Do you think this would fly in Rochester?

That is an AWESOME idea. I have no idea if it would fly, but it seems like such a cool idea and how could people not be interested?

I’d also suggest getting a chef or two, maybe someone who works at the zoo, one of the curators from the Eastman House.

Such a neat idea! I’d suggest Sandy Parker, Andrew Doniger, Bishop Clark and Jean Claude Brizzard too. I definitely think this could fly – it would be a scheduling nightmare but if the “books” would commit to a couple of hours it would be a great way to get nice press.

Hey, maybe we could even put a librarian in there! No one ever knows what we do or what kind of education we need… “A masters? Six years of college? You must be kidding! You read books all day!” It would be interesting, I don’t know how many people would make use of it, but it would be interesting.
