I love this concept and I really, really, really hope this will work with our MCLS library cards. Can someone out there who has an iPhone test this for me?

Thanks.

I could not get this app to work for me. I think its because it takes a picture of the bar code, and my older 3G doesn’t have auto focus, making it difficult to get a picture that is close up and crisp enough.
Also, I have an anti-glare screen protector on my iPhone, which may cause the scanning laser to refract.
You may also want to have someone else try this app: http://www.mycardstar.com. It’s available for iPhone/iPod Touch, Blackberry, and Android phones.
It’s free, and unlike Scanaroo, you enter the bar code numbers in using the keypad, and it generates its own bar code on the screen; no fuzzy pictures complicating things. Again, I didn’t have any success with it, but that might be due to the screen protector. I’m reluctant to take it off because it was so hard to put it on correctly.
However, if anyone else with an iPod Touch/iPhone can get it to work, I may take it off for good.
